The big question many travelers have to ask themselves is which airline do I fly with? Assuming that you aren’t the heir to a multimillion dollar corporation first class probably isn’t a viable option but even in economy the options are profuse! Do you fly with one of the cheaper airlines, such as Airasia or Indojet, or with the higher priced yet more reliable Qantas or Singapore Airlines? Being a student, and lets be honest most hardworking 9-5ers, I have a strict budget and the last thing I want to do is take away from what could have been the greatest holiday ever experienced because I spent all of my money on flights!

So what to do then — In such a pickle I decided that spending twice as much on a more expensive airline was a waste of money that could have been spent on Bintang and Pina Coladas! Both my flight in and out of Bali were cancelled, only one of which was rescheduled and ended in me spending a further $500 upfront to book alternate flights. In retrospect I would recommend being prepared for the worst if you travel with a cheaper airline or travel with a middle of the road airline such as Virgin!
