Looks like its all over for IndoJet, and any prospects of their unfortunate customers to get any money back. Below is a letter from the company to customers -

As of 20 January 2010, the directors of Indojet Asia Pty Ltd (”the company”) have moved for a resolution to put the company into administration. As you are aware, this has been brought about by a series of unfortunate events.

Finally, 4 months after cancelling all their services due to loss of their leased plane, Indojet have publicly answered some questions on refunds for flights that have not happened.
They are offering a couple of options on what consumers can have with regards to credits or refunds, although they are still not necessarily a very satisfactory outcome! Below is an excerpt, directly from their website, explaining their offer -
Please note that you have 2 options as follows:

1. If your flight was for the period of May through to October 2009, then you will either receive a voucher for another flight which will be arranged after 12th of December 2009. Alternatively, you may elect to obtain a refund of your travel fares, however we note that the refunds will only be made after the 12th of December 2009.

2. If your flights are booked for travel from November 2009 onwards, you will not receive any refunds but will be provided with vouchers so you can re arrange your travel plans.
Most disappointing on the above, is the fact nothing will happen for another 2 months, until mid December, for who know what reason. also disappointing, is their is still absolutely no way of contacting them that is acknowledged.
I hope they finally restitute the mess they have made, and put customers right!

The West Australian Government’s Department of Commerce have recently issued some advise to those who have been effected by the withdrawal of Indojet from the Perth to Bali flight. I have posted a copy, and a link to their press release below. In addition, they recommend all effected customers register with them, for future updates.

following is a copy of an email received from a concerned former Indojet passenger, trying to find out how to get their refund for their cancelled flights. These people, like many others, were left high and dry in Bali, having flown to Bali with them, and then having to make their own way home!
The correspondence does give several contact options for other concerned customers to try and contact -
Indojet Asia will refund the unused portion of your Indojet ticket, in your case Denpasar to Perth. If the booking was made directly with Indojet on the website or over the phone, please reply to this email requesting the refund; if the booking was made through a Travel Agent or Wholesaler please contact them directly as Indojet will refund the return ticket to them.
Please note, due to the overwhelming enquiries and refund requests we have received, the refund process can take up to 6 weeks.
We thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
Kind regards,
Customer Service

I am still amazed at the total lack of pro-active action Indojet have taken to attempt to protect their image and reputation, after the the cancellation of their Perth to Bali service in Mid June.
Their initial handling of their difficult situation when they first found themselves without a plane was excellent, and they organised alternative flights for those on half a dozen or more flights, both into and out of Bali.
However, once they decided to suspend their services, they then appear to have totally dropped any attempt to help anyone, or to protect their own image with West Australian travellers! They issued a press release suspending services, and contacted in-transit customers by SMS to let them know they would not be assisting them any further, and that they should make their own arrangements for travel (including return flights to Australia).
Since June 29, there has been absolutely no contact from Indojet, and they are advising customer who can reach them that refunds will take up to 6 weeks.
As the company is not in administration or receivership - IE - they are not in financial difficulties - they definitely should be managing their image better. Surely they hope to continue this business into the future, as they have indicated on their last company announcement?
This is a classic example of NO DAMAGE CONTROL. They have just closed their doors, phones and eyes, and hoped the problem will go away!!! Feedback I get makes me believe the way they have handled this business crisis will haunt them well into the future! I doubt they can re-launch their service effectively in Perth. Yet, if the had handled it better, it could have almost been a public relations coup for them - as it looked like it was going to be when things first went bad for them.
However, maybe Air Asia’s commencement of flights direct from Perth to Bali would have pushed them out of the market anyway?????????

Well, does anybody else wonder what is happening over at Indojet offices in Subiaco? Not too much, if the amount of activity on their website is any indication!
A recent text inquiry (as this is the only method of correspondence that appears to get answered) by a frustrated passenger, has been answered that refunds for unused flights will be another 6 weeks! Seams very convenient, that all dealings are getting pushed out for longer and longer? I would think there would have to be some big question marks over if Indojet intend to pay out any refunds at all!!!!
Considering passengers stranded in Bali last week were only given 1 days notice that Indojet would not be organising return flights for them, and that they needed to make their own arrangements to get home, you would think they would at least organize a quick refund???
Come on IndoJet - get people their money back, keep the public informed with what is going on (website hasn’t been updated since late June!!) and try to salvage your shattered reputation!!!!!!!
Keeping in mind, we think they intend to re-introduce their service not too far down the track, it is well and truly time to start to fix their image!
Message to INDOJET - GET THE REFUNDS HAPPENING NOW!!

The big question many travelers have to ask themselves is which airline do I fly with? Assuming that you aren’t the heir to a multimillion dollar corporation first class probably isn’t a viable option but even in economy the options are profuse! Do you fly with one of the cheaper airlines, such as Airasia or Indojet, or with the higher priced yet more reliable Qantas or Singapore Airlines? Being a student, and lets be honest most hardworking 9-5ers, I have a strict budget and the last thing I want to do is take away from what could have been the greatest holiday ever experienced because I spent all of my money on flights!
So what to do then — In such a pickle I decided that spending twice as much on a more expensive airline was a waste of money that could have been spent on Bintang and Pina Coladas! Both my flight in and out of Bali were cancelled, only one of which was rescheduled and ended in me spending a further $500 upfront to book alternate flights. In retrospect I would recommend being prepared for the worst if you travel with a cheaper airline or travel with a middle of the road airline such as Virgin!
Still waiting on my refund from IndoJet,
Future Globetrotter

Indojet are unavailable to contact at the this stage. There phones in Subiaco are on night switch and are not being answered. Any enquiries via their website are not being answered.
Remember - Indojet are not in Administration or liquidation, they just dont have a charter airplane available. I think they should, therefore, have a responsibility to their already booked passengers. However, they clearly DONT think so!
Currently, a family member of mine is in Bali, and flew there last week on a re-scheduled flight through IndoJet. On the outward flight from Perth they where put on a Garuda Flight, and we had nothing but good things to say about their service in that instance! But now, it is a different story, as they have been frantically trying to contact Indojet for their return flight, due in 4 days, and have finally got a response.
IndoJet are not rescheduling any further flights - unused booking are to be refunded. Passengers will need to make their own arrangements for their travel!!! Well, That’s just not good enough, as far as I am concerned. Perth residents who are currently in Bali, awaiting their return flights are left completely on their own. No suggestions or help from Indojet! Fortunately, Virgin Blue have flights available for close to the same day our party was due to return, but what if they didn’t?????
Keeping in mind, Indojet are just suspending services for 1 month - I hope they dont think they will be recommencing their services when it suits them? If that is the case, I promise to keep the damming blogs flowing! I will make sure anyone googling Indojet will get both sides of the story before they spend their money with them! Indojet’s appalling lack to responsibility doesn’t deserve customer patronage!
